Helping families honor the lives of those they love®
Our story began in 1884 when the Batesville Coffin Company was established.
In 1906, John A. Hillenbrand purchased the Batesville Coffin Company and changed the name to the Batesville Casket Company. John A. Hillenbrand had a vision to become an industry leader in North American funeral products. While the Batesville Casket Company was originally known for its excellent craftsmanship of wooden caskets, we’ve expanded our products and solutions over the years to meet the evolving needs of families and licensed funeral professionals.
Batesville Casket is a global organisation with its headquarters and manufacturing centres located in the United States, but also maintains warehouse locations, distribution partners and sales offices around the world. With the help of our Australian distribution partners, we have built long-term relationships with funeral directors, funeral associations and many funeral professionals throughout Australia. Our warehouse and logistics partners, located in a number of locations across Australia, allow us to service most locations Australia wide.
Our history of manufacturing excellence, product innovation, superior customer service, and reliable distribution spans more than a century. Our passion has never been stronger to lead the industry with positive changes that enhance funeral service.
